Q: What if I want to donate to a charity that is not listed on your website.
A: Remember, you can always donate to them directly. They also might not know about our website. Please let us know who you would like to see on our website and we will let them know about your desire to have them join the Dollar a Dozen Family.
Q: If I donate to them directly, am I still entered into your "Thank You Giveaway".
A: Unfortunately no. We would have no way of knowing about your donation. The only way we can enter your name into our Giveaway is by making a donation through us.
Offical Giveaway Rules

THANK YOU GIVEAWAY: In appreciation for the donations that you make through dollaradozen.org website, your name will automatically be entered into our Thank You Giveaway. There are no limits as to how many times you can make a donation and for each separate donation you will receive a separate entry in the giveaway. The minimum donation is $1 and there is no maximum donation. You can donate as many times as you wish. The size of your donation has no impact on your chances of winning. You can also send us a check through the mail for your donation and we will then enter your name into our Thank You Giveaway.

ELIGIBLE DONATIONS: An eligible donation is any donation that is $1 or greater, that is not returned nor rejected by any bank, credit card processing company, or any type of financial institution.

INITIAL GIVEAWAY, JUNE 1, 2011: Eligible donations are made from December 1, 2010 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time through May 31, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

SECOND GIVEAWAY, JANUARY 1, 2012: Eligible donations are made from June 1, 2011 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time through December 31, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

ALL FUTURE JULY 1 GIVEAWAYS: Eligible donations are made from January 1 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time through June 30, at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time of the corresponding year.

ALL FUTURE JANUARY 1 GIVEAWAYS: Eligible donations are made from July 1 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time through December 31, 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time of the previous year.

GIVEAWAY DATES: Winners for our Initial Giveaway will be selected on June 1, 2011 and then we will resume our regular schedule of drawings on January 1, 2012 and July 1, 2012 and will continue twice a year for as long as we hold our "Thank You Giveaways". We reserve the right to cancel this promotion at any time and at our discretion. Once a "Thank You Giveaway" has commenced, we will not cancel the promotion until a winner has been selected, but we do reserve the right to change dates for any given reason. We will post any changes regarding our Giveaway Dates on either our website, www.dollaradozen.org or on our Facebook or on both website and Facebook at our discretion.

PRIZE: This is an ongoing Thank You Giveaway. Prizes will be listed on our website and/or on our Facebook. There are no limits as to how many prizes or limits to the value of any prizes that we may have, but we will have at least one prize per Giveaway.

WINNER: One winner per prize will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received on the dates specified above. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries. Winner will be notified at our discretion by either one or all of the following forms of communication: e-mail, phone, mail. If the winner is unreachable within 30 days, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

TAXES AND CHANGES: Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation and dollaradozen.org and all its affiliates reserve the right to substitute any prize for an item of equal or greater value. You will have to pay all applicable taxes and fees associated with receiving the prize.

LIABILITY: By accepting a prize, each winner releases the Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation and dollaradozen.org and all affiliates, and their respected officers, agents and employees from any responsibility or liability in connection with any prize awarded. By making a donation and entering this giveaway, entrants accept and agree to these rules. Winner agrees to release Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation and dollaradozen.org and all affiliates of any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, use, misuse, possession, or loss of the prize.

By participating in the "Thank You Giveaway", each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor in all matters relating to this Contest, which are final and binding.

ELIGIBILITY: The "Thank You Giveaway" is open to everyone over the age of 18. If you are under 18 and want to donate and enter for a chance to win, you must get your parents approval. In case you win, you must be at least 18 years of age to claim the prize. You can work out the details of how to keep track of who gets the prize if you should win. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the drawing.

ADVERTISING: By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to allow use of his/her/corporate name and or photo for advertising this or similar promotions and allows us to post their name and or photo on our website and/or Facebook as the winner of our giveaway without further compensation.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law regarding this Giveaway.


Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all collection of information controlled by the Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation, or the dollaradozen.org website (hereinafter the "Site"). We recognize that our members and visitors to the Site may be concerned about the information they provide to us, and how we treat that information. This Privacy Policy addresses those concerns.
By using the Site or submitting your information to us, you consent to the Terms and Conditions of this Privacy Policy and to our processing of personally identifiable information for the purposes stated below. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the site or submit your information.

Further, the Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation nor the Site will ever sell your personally identifiable information to third parties. From time to time, we may collect personally identifiable information from you in other ways that are not described above. If you do not want us to collect your personally identifiable information, please do not provide it to us. However, if you do not provide us with your personally identifiable information, you may not be able to utilize the services you are requesting. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personally identifiable information that you submit to the Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation and the Site. Inaccurate information will affect the information you receive and our ability to contact you as described in this Privacy Policy.
Use and Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information We may use, share and/or disclose your personally identifiable information in the following instances:
1) To provide a service or product. For example, to provide a newsletter or updates, if requested by you.

2) To unaffiliated third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors who help us maintain our Site or provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, order processing and fulfillment, providing customer service, sending communications to our members on our behalf, entry collection, winner selection and prize fulfillment for contests, sweepstakes, giveaways and other promotions.

3) To complete a donation or to provide you with any paid services/products. If you choose to make a donation, we may collect from you your bank information, billing address and other information to fulfill your request depending on the pay method you select. We may also provide such information, or other personally identifiable information provided by you, to unaffiliated third parties as necessary to complete your transaction (for example, to process your credit card).

4) To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us, protect and defend our rights or property or act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our end users.

5) To third parties as part of any reorganization process including, but not limited to mergers and/or acquisitions.

6) To protect against potential fraud, we may verify with third parties the information collected from this Site. In the course of such verification, we may receive personally identifiable information about you from such services. In particular, if you use a credit card or debit card on the Site, we may use card authorization and fraud screening services to verify that your card information and address matches the information that you supplied to us, and that the card has not been reported as lost or stolen.

7) To handle any physical or other type of threat made to you or others, to protect property or to defend or assert legal rights.

Opt-Out
From time to time, we may communicate with users who subscribe to our services. For example, we may use your e-mail address to respond to a request by you, or to send notices and other disclosures as required by law. Generally, users cannot opt-out of these communications, but they will be primarily informational in nature rather than promotional. However, we provide you the opportunity to exercise an opt-out choice if you do not want to receive other types of communication from us, such as e-mails or updates from us regarding information about upcoming prizes in our "Thank You Giveaway", or to announce who our winner/winners was/were. If you do not want to receive any communication from us in the future, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at brendon@dollaradozen.org. We will process your request as soon as possible, but please be aware that in some circumstances you may receive a few more message until the unsubscribe is processed.

Public Areas of the Site
Certain places within the Site, or other forums, blog pages, facebook pages, twitter accounts or pages of any other public areas, may allow users to post comments or communications that are publicly accessible and non-confidential. Any information shared, including personally identifiable information, that you reveal in these public areas is not going to be maintained as private and will be accessible to the public.

Links to Third Party Sites
The Site contains links to other third party web sites operated by companies that are not affiliated with the Dollar a Dozen Charitable Foundation or dollaradozen.org website. These links may be found on our Donation Page, Charity Page, in advertisements, referenced within content, or placed beside the names or logos of third parties or other sponsors. They may be listed elsewhere on our website as well. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the "Last Update" date at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.
